Institute of Medicine is the body of Tribhuvan University. It

Kathmandu University
Kathmandu University is a private university. It doesn’t
provide any scholarship seats for MBBS and BDS program directly.
It conducts
its own medical Entrance Exam from which student is selected for admission in MBBS
and BDS in different KU affiliated Medical College.
But Kathmandu University does provide scholarship seats

B.P Koirala Institute of Health and Science is autonomously

Patan Academy of Health Sciences
Patan Academy of health sciences is also an autonomously
operating medical institutions in Nepal.
It conducts its own entrance exam for the selection of student
in the MBBS program.
Mainly it provides a scholarship for MBBS in the following headings:
Full Scholarship Category: This Full scholarship is provided for 15% of the students and forty-five percent (45%)
full scholarship seats are reserved for Female, Adivasi/ Janajati, Madhesi, Dalit,
and those who belong to the Backward Region.
For this scholarship, only students who are economically marginalized
can apply for it. The student must have to complete their 8/9/10 from governmental
school.
Special Area Partial Scholarship: In this scholarship scheme two Partial scholarship seats are provided 1 for Male
and 1 for Female which is reserved for students from the rural municipality of
Lalitpur district.
Staff Scholarship Quota:
Under staff Quota, one full scholarship is the seat is provided for the son/daughter of
one of the permanent staff of PAHS.
One partial scholarship seat is provided
for the son/daughter of one of the permanent PAHS faculty.
The student should be the own
son/daughter of permanent staff/faculty of PAHS. They must have worked for at
least 3 years in PAHS without leaving the institution during this course.
If
one of the children of the respective staff/faculty has already received the
scholarship in any of PAHS academic programs then other children will not
eligible to apply for another scholarship. Despite the fact that both parent
are permanent staff/ faculty of PAHS.
Scholarship in Nepal for MBBS - Ministry Of Education
In Nepal, all the medical
college has to follow the guidelines given by the Ministry of Education. Under these
guidelines every medical college have to give certain medical seats for
scholarship.
For colleges owned by Nepalese
citizens 10% of total seats and for college-owned by a foreign citizen or college
having foreign investor 20% of total medical has to be given under scholarship.

Every year Indian Embassy provide few scholarship seats for
MBBS program.
It is a direct scholarship provided by the Indian Embassy, to be
eligible for these scholarship seats students have to appear in NEET Entrance Exam.
As the selection is done on the basis of rank secured by the student in NEET.
IN NEPAL Indian Embassy also offer some other type of
scholarship for a student studying MBBS in Nepal. They are:
Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme
Under Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme, Indian Embassy
provides scholarships to students admitted in Bachelor program in 1st year/1st
semester of undergraduate courses.
Which should be recognized as educational institutions
in Nepal in the fields of medicines, engineering, and other undergraduate programs.
Scholarship Money: Selected applicants in medical,
engineering and disciplines are given a scholarship of NRs. 4,000 every month.
The scholarship for students in other disciplines is NRs. 3,000 every month.
The student will be disqualified from this scheme if the percentage of marks
scored by the student falls below 50% in each subsequent year.

Under the self-finance scheme, there is a limited number of

Bangladesh Embassy announces every year scholarship seats

The Directorate General of Health Services of the Ministry
of Health and Family Welfare of Bangladesh announces the admission of foreign
students in Government Medical and Dental Colleges for every academic year.
The
total of 216 seats are reserved for the foreign students, out of which 107 seats
are allocated for SAARC countries and 109 seats are allocated for non-SAARC
countries, under this Bangladesh government's scholarship program.
According to this scholarship program, Nepal belong to
SAARC country and gets 19 scholarship seats in MBBS and 2 scholarship seats in
BDS program.
Japanese Embassy: SCHOLARSHIP FOR MBBS IN NEPAL
This is a scholarship provided by the Japanese Embassy (Under
MEXT)
This is a direct scholarship scheme offered by the embassy of
Japan. Any willing student can apply for it who is eligible for applying.
Seat distribution is not fixed but varies from 5-7.
